Amish Cedar Garden Arbor

Arbors make a beautiful addition to any walkway or garden area. This arbor is handcrafted by an Amish woodworker located in Indiana Amish country. Made from cedar wood, finished in non-toxic sealer/stain, this arbor is resistant to rot and mold and will last for many years to come.

Material description:  Aromatic red cedar is a unique wood.  Unlike most other woods, it carries a distinct fragrance.  It also has color combinations ranging from an off-white to deep red.  Aromatic red cedar is actually from the juniper family and is considered a soft wood.  It's natural resistance to rot has long made it a favorite for outdoor furniture use.  Area farmers favored cedar for fence posts because of its longevity.  It is also popular for use in lining closets and clothes to repel insects.
