Details

From the Nature's Garden Collection, this Bistro Table made from cedar wood is rot and mold resistant, and finished using non-toxic, chemical-free stain and sealer. Handcrafted in Indiana by Amish furniture makers, you can be sure this table will last for many years to come.

Material description:  Aromatic red cedar is a unique wood.  Unlike most other woods, it carries a distinct fragrance.  It also has color combinations ranging from an off-white to deep red.  Aromatic red cedar is actually from the juniper family and is considered a soft wood.  It's natural resistance to rot has long made it a favorite for outdoor furniture use.  Area farmers favored cedar for fence posts because of its longevity.  It is also popular for use in lining closets and clothes to repel insects.

Quality Construction:  In addition to high-grade wood, quality zinc hardware is used in the construction of the patio furniture in the Nature's Garden Collection.

Using Weather Sealers:  While red cedar is naturally rot resistant, wood sealers help preserve the natural beauty longer.  Wood is a natural product, though, and even with finishes aging produces color changes and small cracks and checks in the wood.  These aren't flaws, but rather nature's unique beauty marks, making each patio furniture piece truly one of a kind.

The beauty in handmade wooden patio furniture is in the uniqueness of each piece that's made just for you. Skilled Amish craftsmen take special care in the art of woodworking, and do their very best to sand down your outdoor pieces and make them smooth to the touch. However, there is always the possibility of some minor imperfections and rough edges when working with wood. These unique characteristics add to the rustic beauty of your piece!

Although our craftsmen use only the best wood for your outdoor pieces, it is still common for pine and cedar wood to have some cracks appear known as checking, especially in the hot summer months. The wood expands in the heat of the summer, but will contract when the weather cools down.

Wood will change color with age, may lighten and even turn a grayish color.

Rough edges and minor cracks are normal and we will not issue refunds. Embrace the unique personality of your outdoor wooden furniture that's made just for you!

Regular maintance will increase the longevity of your wooden furniture.  Apply water sealer and tighten hardware as needed.
