Commercial & Residential Dog Kennels, Built to Last
For over 15 years, Pinecraft has partnered with government agencies, law enforcement, military bases, animal rescues and nonprofits nationwide to deliver custom commercial dog kennels that go beyond basic shelter: secure, durable and comfortable kennel systems built for professional canine programs, from K-9 units to rescue operations.
For families, our residential dog kennels pair an insulated dog box with a chain-link run, with options for a storage shed, heat and air conditioning. Our built-to-order kennels are delivered fully assembled and ready to use. If you would rather build it yourself, choose one of the DIY kennel kits we list; those are the only models offered in kit form.
Every Pinecraft kennel is built with Amish craftsmanship and designed around safety, hygiene and canine well-being, and our kennels meet federal and state animal welfare standards.
Dog kennel questions
What is the difference between residential and commercial kennels?
Residential kennels are built for one or a few family dogs: an insulated dog box with a chain-link run, often paired with a storage shed, with optional heat and A/C. Commercial kennels are built for shelters, breeders, boarding and K-9 programs, with PVC-lined walls that hose clean, a poly-urea coated floor, insulated walls, ceiling and floor, 11.5-gauge chain-link dividers, and options like floor drains, whelping areas, feeding and watering systems and full climate control.
Can you build a custom kennel layout?
Yes. We design custom run counts, run sizes, feed rooms, offices and more, and send drawings and a 3D rendering for you to approve before the build starts.
How long does a kennel take?
Most kennels ship in 8–10 weeks, depending on project size. Each kennel lists its own lead time.
How do I prepare my site?
You're responsible for site prep and any permits. Build a level base about 1 foot wider than the kennel on all sides: 4–5 inches of 3/4″ clean crushed stone (with about 12 inches of stone around the perimeter), or a concrete pad kept close to ground level. A proper base improves airflow and helps your kennel last for years.
How is my kennel delivered?
East of the Mississippi, your kennel is delivered by a local trucking service on a large trailer and set in place. West of the Mississippi, a freight company delivers and sets it. The driver calls ahead to schedule, and needs clear access to your site, so plan around fences and trees. Contact us for a West Coast shipping quote. Watch a delivery.
Who have you built kennels for?
Government agencies, law enforcement, military bases, animal rescues, breeders and nonprofits in 40+ states. See our client list.
