Shipping

Our kits are shipped nationwide via common carrier. When your shipment is expected to be delivered via common carrier, you will be required to have 2 people there to help unload. Your shipment will arrive on a pallet (number of pallets will vary with size of building). The truck driver will help remove the bands and wrapping on the pallet, the 2 people will then be required to unload each piece from the truck.

Assembly

EZ‐Fit Shed Kit Assembly
With the EZ-Fit Shed Kits, the goal is to provide you with everything you need to make the assembly of your shed kit go smoothly. A complete instruction manual is provided with your kit and a list of tools needed. The assembly manual includes assembly instructions for the optional floor kit. If you purchased your own flooring materials elsewhere, you may refer to this section for tips on assembly. If you are using concrete for your floor, simply disregard this part of the instructions.

There will be paperwork included with your packing slip that shows the details on the wall panels and roof sheathing included for your particular shed kit. Heritage, Homestead and Riverside sheds all have the same roof design. The Skyview has an 8 pitch roof with a preinstalled skylight dormer.

Site Prep

Correct Site Preparation is very important to the longevity of your building.

Crushed Stone
We recommend using crushed stone approximately 4-5" deep. We also advise that you have 12" of stone around the perimeter of the outbuilding to control weeds and keep moisture away from the building. Before installing the stone, you can either dig out 4" of soil and simply make the stone ground level, or you can make the frame with 4x4s or landscape timbers and then fill flush to the top with stone.

Concrete Pad
Another option would be to have a concrete pad installed. If you are going to have a concrete pad installed, remember to keep the pad as close to ground level as possible. We recommend that you make the pad 12" wider on each side of the building.

Using crushed stone or a concrete pad will increase the longevity of your building. Having the proper site allows needed air flow, which will keep your building looking great for years to come!

Permits
If it is necessary to obtain a building permit or cross a neighboring property, it is the buyer’s responsibility to obtain a neighbor’s permission or to purchase the necessary permits prior to delivery.

What is drip edge?

Drip edge is a long strip of metal flashing that is nailed to plywood, at the eaves (edges) of the roof, under the shingles. It helps promote the longevity of your roof by preventing water from seeping under the roof shingles and directing the water away from the fascia. Drip edge overhangs the roof edge and shingles, with a small flange that bends away from the fascia.

Is it possible to get line drawings in advance for permitting purposes?

Yes, please email us directly for any supporting documentation you may need for codes and permitting process.

Are your EZ-Fit Shed Kits pre-cut for the job or do we still need to cut lumber? I would also be interested in another window, can this be added? Can I place this shed on a concrete slab?

This kit comes with prebuilt panelized wall sections and precut rafters. You will need to make some minor cuts. This shed kit can be placed directly onto a concrete slab without a floor kit. We can add treated bottom plates if you choose concrete flooring. We recommend you pour the slab to the same dimensions as the shed you order. We can add an additional window for $59, flower boxes and shutters are additional as well.

is it possible to set a date for delivery?

While we can't guarantee an exact delivery date, we can certainly hold and order or try to meet, as close as possible, a delivery window. Contact us directly for specific delivery inquiries.

Finch Limited Warranty

20 years residential / 5 years commercial on Finch poly furniture against defects in workmanship and materials, from the date of sale.
Stainless steel fasteners are warranted not to fail structurally for the full warranty period when cared for as described below.
Swivels: 5 years residential use.
Cushions: 1 year residential use (normal compression of cushions is not a defect). Sunbrella® furniture fabric also carries Sunbrella's own 5-year limited warranty.
If a product is defective, Finch will repair it or, at its option, replace it at no charge. If a replacement is discontinued, a product of similar function and equal or greater value is substituted. Shipping and handling for warranty service is the customer's responsibility.

Not covered: light scratches from normal use, slight fading from sunlight, or staining from prolonged contact with other substances; damage from unauthorized repair, alteration, abuse, normal wear and tear, or use other than intended; and rusted fasteners or swivels, or failures they cause, resulting from improper maintenance.

To file a claim, contact Pinecraft with a description of the problem (photos help), plus your name, address and phone number.

Care & Cleaning

Never needs painting or staining. The color runs all the way through, and a UV inhibitor keeps fading to a minimum.
Everyday cleaning: mild soap and water with a soft sponge. Use a plastic-bristle brush for tight corners, or simply hose off surface dust.
Stubborn marks: a Magic Eraser. For rust spots, scrub with Iron Out.
Deep cleaning: a pressure washer on its lightest setting, no more than 1,500 psi, with the tip at least 10–12" from the furniture.
Protect the surface: clean off flower-pot residue regularly, don't cut on it, avoid setting tools, metal, gravel or sharp objects on it, and don't place hot items directly on the furniture.
Hardware: all fasteners are 316 marine-grade stainless steel. Check them periodically for tightness, and rinse with fresh water now and then if the furniture is near saltwater.
Sunbrella® cushions: wash removable covers by hand in ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of lukewarm water, rinse well and air dry. For mildew, use 1 cup bleach and ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of water, let soak 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly and air dry.
