Details
Red-and-white candy stripes from the easternmost point of the contiguous United States.
The Real West Quoddy Head Lighthouse – Lubec, Maine
West Quoddy Head Light marks the easternmost point of the contiguous United States. The first light station there was built in 1808 under President Thomas Jefferson. The present tower dates to 1858 and is famous for its red-and-white candy stripes overlooking the Bay of Fundy. The tower is closed to visitors in 2026, with the visitor center expected to reopen in 2027.
Our Amish-Made West Quoddy Head Replica
Our replica reproduces its red-and-white horizontal stripes. Sunrise does not build this style in poly lumber; choose painted wood or hybrid.
Built to Order by Amish Craftsmen in Pennsylvania
Choose a height from 2' to 12', with or without a decorative base. Every lighthouse includes a standard light with a 25W bulb, socket and 8' cord. Upgrade to a dusk-to-dawn sensor, solar LED light, solar light with interior lighting, solar rotating light or electric revolving beacon (3' and up), an extra-large revolving light (8' and 12'), or add interior tower lighting that makes the whole tower glow at night.
- Hybrid construction: maintenance-free poly top and base plate with a painted wood tower
- The parts that take the most weather – the lantern top and the base – are poly, so the hybrid is built to last longer than all-wood
- Hand-painted replica daymark (woodgrain colors are not available on hybrid)
- Free shipping – ships in about 3–4 weeks
Photos show the painted wood version. The hybrid looks the same, with a poly lantern top and base.
This style is also available in painted wood – see the matching lighthouses below.
