Add this lighthouse base to your lighthouse order. Modeled after the base of the real Cape Hatteras lighthouse, these bases can be used with any of our lighthouse styles - wood and polywood. These bases are wooden and are painted red with clay trim.
The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is a real lighthouse located on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. First constructed in 1803, the original light was 112 feet above sea level and was visible in clear weather for a distance of 18 miles. In 1871 a new tower was erected, having a height of 200 feet and the original tower was demolished the next year.
