The real Marblehead lighthouse is in Marblehead, Ohio. It is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the U.S. side of the Great Lakes. Since, 1822, it has served as an active aid to navigation, guiding sailors along the rocky shores of Lake Erie. Built of limestone, the Marblehead lighthouse tower was 50 feet tall.
Now you can own a piece of history with this Amish handcrafted lighthouse that features the colors of the Marblehead lighthouse tower.
This poly lighthouse is handmade by skilled Amish craftsmen working in a small shop in Ohio. Because it's made of Poly, this lighthouse requires no maintenance, such as painting. The poly vinyl material will not splinter, crack, or fade and being made of post consumer waste, it is friendly to our environment. This poly lighthouse is available in 3 different sizes.
The standard poly lighthouse comes with a non-blinking light. Just run an extension cord to your lighthouse to power it. You can also choose to upgrade to a blinking light for a more realistic lighthouse look. Skip the extension cord entirely by upgrading to the solar light. The solar light includes a dusk/dawn sensor which turns the light on at dusk and off at dawn.
