The Barnegat lighthouse, also known as "Old Barney", is a real historic lighthouse located in Barnegat Lighthouse State Park in New Jersey. First built in 1834, the original Barnegat Lighthouse was 40 feet tall and housed a non-flashing light. Because of encroaching seas due to erosion, the Barnegat lighthouse was rebuilt several times in slightly different locations. The current lighthouse is 172 feet tall.
Now you can own an Amish made lighthouse modeled after the real Barnegat Lighthouse.
Light up your flowerbed or garden with this Amish made lighthouse. Handcrafted of premium exterior wood and hand-painted with exterior latex paint, these lighthouses are designed to handsomely weather the elements. Each lighthouse has an electrical light installed and is ready to be plugged in an enjoyed.
The standard lighthouse comes with a non-blinking light. Just run an extension cord to your lighthouse to power it. You can also choose to upgrade to a blinking light for a more realistic lighthouse look. For the 4 and 5 foot lighthouses another optional upgrade is the revolving light - the ultimate in realism. Skip the extension cord entirely by upgrading to the solar light. The solar light includes a dusk/dawn sensor which turns the light on at dusk and off at dawn.
